Sephora Nail Patch Art

From the Sephora website:
Nail Patch Art

What it is:
A collection of adhesive nail art patches.

What it does:
Give nail art a try with this collection of patches that add fun patterns and shine to fingertips and toes! Each set of 18 patches were specifically designed to fit all nail sizes. They apply ultra-easily and provide long wear—with zero drying time or smudging!

What else you need to know:
Each patch is made of three layers of film for extreme shine and long wear: the base coat film ensures long wear, the color film provides intense color, and the top coat creates 100-percent shine.

I was at Sephora and saw these leopard print nail patch, and thought to give this product a try out of curiosity. I bought it at SR50+ ($14+)

It came with a small rectangle cardboard which I have no idea what it was for. :p

Instructions:

The instructions were easy to follow. However, I don't recommend tearing the excess sticker. I tried it and it tore a huge piece so I had to use another one. I do recommend that you fold, and file out the excess. It's easier and gives a more clean finish.

Tadaaaah!!!!
Sephora Nail Patch Art A03
I finished it off with OPI top coat to make it last longer.

After 2 weeks
Only minimal chipping considering I do chores everyday!

Would I purchase again? Definitely!

I kept getting compliments at the mall, random strangers holding my hands and looking at my nails. LOL. I love that it was easy to apply even if it was my first time. I can't review on the difficulty of removing these stickers cause I still have them on.

Taupe Nails & Colorful Eyes

It has been a while since I did a colorful look. As the years passed I became more uncomfortable wearing bright colors. I feel too much e/s colors are for the young ones and I being in my mid 20's, and a mom to a 3 year old, feel that neutrals are more suited for me. This is my first time to do this look and I really like it. :) I wouldn't be caught wearing it in public though... As soon as I was done taking pics, I immediately took the makeup off. =p

Products Used:

1. MAC "Soft Ochre" (base) 2. Skin Food "Cookie" (inner corners) 3. MAC "Aquadisiac" (middle lid) 4. YSL Ombre Solo Double Effect "2" (outer lid) 5. Sephora Color Play Palette "Plum" (crease) 6. MAC Honesty (above the crease) 7. Victoria Secret Mosaic E/S Knowing (champagne color on the brow bone) 8. Maybelline XXL Curl Power 9. Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner

NYX "The Taupe"

I know, I know, my cuticles and hands are really dry. Winter just started a couple of days ago so my skin is currently dry all over. But I am loving this nail color so much! It's perfect for this season! :)

I really like the photos I took on this blog entry. What do you guys think? :) I will try to post nice photos from now on. I don't think people will want to read a blog with crappy pics especially a beauty blog, right? :)

Happy hump day to my international readers and happy weekend to my gulf readers. :)

Love,
Katrina

OPI Black Shatter

I was so excited to receive my black shatter yesterday! I ordered it online cause I couldnt find a shop that sells OPI here. I've been wanting to have this nail polish since it came out and I finally have it! :)

I bought this for P490 that's $11! As soon as I received the package I tried applying it on different base colors to see which looked best.

I like how it looked against the middle finger. The base is Etude PK005. The shatter actually depends on how you apply the polish. If you apply too thick, you will get bigger cracks. I actually tried putting on a thick coat and I got a huge crack at the middle.

Final nails taken with my phone. I used the Etude polish on this but it looks pink in this photo. You can see the real color from the photo above.

I showed mama my nails and she said, I should've just chipped my nail polish on purpose to get the same effect LOL.
