Eyebrow Threading Gone Wrong

Yesterday I decided to have my eyebrows threaded. I had my first experience of eyebrow threading at that place few months ago, and I really liked how my brows turned out so I decided to have it done again yesterday. But look what happened.......

I cry whenever I get them threaded so I always expect it to be painful. But when I got home, I saw that parts of my skin got threaded. :( It was soooo painful especially when I wash my face. I'm thinking of going back to that place and letting them know what they've done but even if I do that there's nothing else I can do bout my lids. :(

Lesson learned: Don't get your eyebrows threaded at a cheap salon which doesn't specialize in threading.

Ombre Makeup

I made this look for the April FOTD Challenge on Instagram. I wasn't able to keep up with the challenge and only did 2 looks for the month. :p Not wearing makeup all the time doesn't mean my love for makeup is slowly weaning, I'm just so busy being a mom and reviewing for my NCLEX exam. :)

It was my first time to try an "Ombre" look, and I love how it turned out. I kept my eye simple and wanted to focus on the lips.

For the eyes I used MAC Tempting and just blended it out. And used a while matte e/s for under the brows and inner corners of the eye.

For the lips I used MAC Angel for the outer lip and MAC Quick Sizzle on the inner lip.

April FOTD Challenge Day 1 & 2

I wasn't able to do the first day challenge so I combined looks on the 2nd day. April 1: Bold lips and April 2: Coral. I was excited to do them cause these are 2 of my favorite looks! Especially coral, which I think is really popular at the moment. Here's the photo I posted on instagram. Feel free to follow me: cinnamonsugar. :)

I love pulling off a bold lip even without e/s. And yes I am aware that you can see the bands of my falsies, which i forgot to cover with a liner. :)
I'm excited to do the rest of the challenge looks cause I have a lot of makeup that I barely use so now i have a reason to use them and not put them to waste. :) I'd love to see your posts on this challenge so pls do share a link on the comments. :)

DIY Orange Lip Color Using Orange Eyeshadow

Do you have an orange eyeshadow that you don't use anymore? Why not make new a lip color!
I've had this MAC Orange e/s that I don't use cause I'm not the red/orange e/s kind of girl. I hate putting it to waste so I thought of making my own lip color using the e/s and a lipstick (Maybelline Coral Pop) that I also don't always use.

1. You'll need an empty container, eyeshadow that you don't use anymore, and a lipstick
2.Crush the e/s. I used a spatula from my facial bleaching kit which I forgot to include in this pic.
3. Take some of the l/s, I used about 1cm, and put it on the container together with the crushed e/s.

Microwave it for 20 sec, or until the lipstick melts. But make sure don't let it boil or the consistency of the lipstick will be different. Stir and make sure everything is well blended.

4. Voila! Your DIY lip color is done! :)

Swatches: My DIY Lip color, and MAC So Chaud
Isn't it a great dupe?! :)

I love how the color turned out. It is more orange and warm than MAC So Chaud.

MAC Sheen Supreme Full Speed

MAC Full Speed
SR92 ($24.5)

From MAC website:
Combining the colour impact of a Lipstick with the shine sheen of a Lipglass, Sheen Supreme creates the perfect hybrid - with no compromise. Lightweight, non-sticky, slick to apply and comfortable to wear.
This is a must-have for all those who have craved this kind of fusion.

Full Speed, described as "bright clean yellow pink" on the mac website, is a light pink coral, close but lighter to MAC Impassioned. I just really love the texture of these l/s. It's buttery when applied, and even
with the glossy texture, it isn't sheer and gives the right amount of pigment to the lips.

Sephora Nail Patch Art

From the Sephora website:
Nail Patch Art

What it is:
A collection of adhesive nail art patches.

What it does:
Give nail art a try with this collection of patches that add fun patterns and shine to fingertips and toes! Each set of 18 patches were specifically designed to fit all nail sizes. They apply ultra-easily and provide long wear—with zero drying time or smudging!

What else you need to know:
Each patch is made of three layers of film for extreme shine and long wear: the base coat film ensures long wear, the color film provides intense color, and the top coat creates 100-percent shine.

I was at Sephora and saw these leopard print nail patch, and thought to give this product a try out of curiosity. I bought it at SR50+ ($14+)

It came with a small rectangle cardboard which I have no idea what it was for. :p

The instructions were easy to follow. However, I don't recommend tearing the excess sticker. I tried it and it tore a huge piece so I had to use another one. I do recommend that you fold, and file out the excess. It's easier and gives a more clean finish.

Sephora Nail Patch Art A03
I finished it off with OPI top coat to make it last longer.

After 2 weeks
Only minimal chipping considering I do chores everyday!

Would I purchase again? Definitely!

I kept getting compliments at the mall, random strangers holding my hands and looking at my nails. LOL. I love that it was easy to apply even if it was my first time. I can't review on the difficulty of removing these stickers cause I still have them on.

Dior Addict 623 Beige Mondaine

I bought this l/s few weeks ago, and immediately tried to take a good pic of it but it was so difficult cause  these l/s have rounded feet so I couldn't stand them straight and it kept on rolling down, and that explains the"boo boo" cause it fell off while I was trying to take a photo of it. >_<

I bought this l/s at Sephora for SR160 ($42.6). I don't usually buy high end makeup here cause it's so over priced, but when I swatched it on my hand, I just had to buy it! It's so pretty! It's a warm rosy plum with purple micro glitters. This l/s is so moisturizing and made my dry lips unnoticable. It's creamy, opaque, and has a glossy finish. It is my new favorite l/s and great for everyday wear. I usually wear it with just curled lashes with 2 coats of mascara, a rosy blush, and I'm all set!

I swatched it together with 2 of my l/s for comparison. I took the photo with my point and shoot, but I couldn't find the cord & I couldn't upload it on my computer, so I just took a photo of it from my phone.
