What's in your makeup bag?

A girl has to have a makeup bag or "kikay kit" as pinoys call it. Just wanted to share with you guys what's in my makeup bag.

Sorry for the low-quality photos. I left both of my camera chargers back home when we were on vacation, so I used my phone cam to take these photos. Anyway, here are the stuffs that I always bring with me:

1. Kenneth Cole makeup bag. I bought it at Ross when I visited my papa in Guam last year. It's big enough to fit all of my stuff and has a cute hot pink lining inside.

2. Shu Uemura lash curler and a smaller lash curler I bought from Daiso.

3. My favorite lip balm of all time. Neutrogena 6 hour protection lip balm. It keeps my lips moisturized and doesn't leave that glossy feel that most lip balms have.

4. L'occitane lavender hand cream

5. Sephora Vanilla Eau de toilette. Just in case I forget to spray on some perfume before leaving the house.

6. Black pens

7. Sephora nude lip pencil.

8. Shiseido Mascara Base & Benefit They're real. If you've read my previous reviews, I wrote about Shiseido Mascara Base, which is my favorite base of all time. My lashes always hang down unless I use a waterproof mascara, but we all know how hard it is to remove waterproof mascaras so this base helps my lashes to stay up. Benefit They're Real is currently my fav mascara. It makes my lashes fuller and volumized.

9. Lipsticks. It usually depends on what color I wear that day but these are the usual lippies I bring with me. (R-L) MAC Most Popular, Revlon Pink Truffle, MAC Faux (my all time fav l/s), MAC Unlimited,  MAC Impressive, MAC Lovelorn.

10. Sephora mineral powder foundation in medium 25

11. Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer in Caribbean Escape. I'm a germophobic so I always need to have a hand sanitizer gel/wipes in handy.

Do you always have your makeup bag with you? What are the products you always have on your kit? Please share in the comments. :)

Hello Kitty Makeup

Yesterday, my friends and I together with our kids went to Hamley's toy store in Mall of Dhahran. The place was huge and had lots of toys that Toys R Us in Dhahran didn't have. Unexpectedly, we saw this in the middle of the store...

Hello Kitty makeup in the middle of the toy store! Whaaaat?!?!?! No words could explain how schocked and happy I was LOL.

I have never seen HK makeup before so as soon as I got home, I searched for it on the net. I discovered that this makeup line was exclusively sold on Priceline, an australian pharmacy store. I checked their prices and it was so much cheaper than the prices here in KSA! I bought this pressed powder for 91 SAR (21 AUD) while on their website, it was sold for only $14.95 AUD, that's $6 difference!
I purchased only 3 products from this line cause I don't really need more L/S and nail polish. Here's what I got:

Hello Kitty liquid liner in 01 (71 SAR), Hello Kitty 4 e/s palette in 04 (109 SAR), and Hello Kitty pressed powder in 01 (91 SAR)

 Hello Kitty Eyeshadow Palette 04

Hello Kitty pressed powder in 01

Hello Kitty liquid eyeliner in 01

Hello Kitty eyeshadow 04 swatches

Comparison: Hello Kitty face powder in 01 (left), MAC Skinfinish mineralize powder in Medium Plus (right)

Hello Kitty liquid eyeliner in 01

Hello Kitty pressed powder 01 - I actually love this powder! It's so light and mattifies my skin really well. Even though it looks really light on the swatch, it actually blends to my face since the powder is so fine and isn't really that pigmented. If you're a MAC person, it's more of a blot powder than select sheer. I'm an NC25 and got the lightest shade and it didn't make my face chalky/cakey even in flash photos. The only downside of this powder is that it doesn't have a sponge or brush to apply it with so you have to use a separate one, but this doesn't bother me at all since I always have a travel face brush with me.

Hello Kitty e/s 04 - I haven't had the chance to use the e/s on my face yet but based on the swatch they actually aren't bad. On the display they had I think 4-5 different palette to choose from and I got the most neutral one. All of them have slight shimmers but not too metallic.

Hello Kitty eyeliner - I love how pigmented this eyeliner is! It's easy to apply to using the felt tip wand. Once dried it is smudge proof.

I'm in love with this makeup line! They have the cutest packaging and the quality of the products are really good. It's unfortunate that they sell it so overpriced here in KSA compared to their usual drugstore price in Australia.

LUSH "So White Bath Ballistic"

I got this during our Philippines holiday vacay few months ago cause we don't have LUSH here in Khobar. I saw the sign on their window that all of their xmas products were 50% off so I had to take advantage. :) I forgot how much this was cause I lost the receipt but it was one of their xmas products so it was 50% off.

As soon as I opened the package I could smell the fruity apple bath bomb.

When dropped in the bath it turned pink.....

Then look what happens..........

NOTHING! It did nothing to my bath water except for the faint smell. I would like bath bombs to turn my water to a diff color or make bubbles to make bath a fun experience.

So I decided to use half of my LUSH crackersnap which has a lemony scent to it.

I love that it turns the water green/yellow.

So would I re-purchase "So White" bath ballistic? NEVER again!
